Pokémon Home is a brand new storage service that lets you gather together Pokémon from multiple games, a bit like Pokémon Bank for the 3DS. Using Pokémon Home, you can move Pokémon around, trade with Trainers around the world, and much more.
It can be a little confusing to figure out which games are compatible and where you can move your Pokémon, so we've put together a handy guide to help you figure out where to start.
But before we get started, there are a couple of things you should know.
- Pokemon transferred to Pokemon Home cannot be transferred back to any old service (like Pokemon Bank) or to previous generations of games. The only games currently compatible are Sword and Shield.
- Pokemon Home is a cloud service for iOS and Nintendo Switch that will allow players to house their captured Pokemon from throughout the console series and 'Pokemon Go' in one place.The service.
- The Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Home is compatible with both Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee and Pokemon Sword and Shield. Additionally, both the Switch and mobile versions of the service are.

But before we get started, there are a couple of things you should know.
Pokemon GO is linking with Pokemon Sword and Shield through Pokemon Home! There has been some news that there will be some kind of a transfer of Pokemon between these two, mainly because of the newest additions to the Pokemon Home app. It is interesting to.
Firstly, there are two versions of Pokémon Home. One is for Nintendo Switch, and one is for mobile, and the features they contain are slightly different. If you link the same Nintendo Account to both, then you'll be able to see the same Pokémon Boxes on both.
Secondly, there's both a free and a paid subscription version of Pokémon Home. The main differences are outlined below.
Which games are compatible with Pokémon Home?
Pokémon Home is compatible with Pokémon Sword and Shield, and also with Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee. You can also connect it to Pokémon Bank for the Nintendo 3DS. Pokémon Go! isn't currently compatible, but will be soon.
If you own Pokémon Sword or Shield (or both), you can transfer Pokémon freely back and forth between those games and Pokémon Home.
If you own Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee or Let's Go, Pikachu, you can transfer Pokémon into Pokémon Home, and you can also move Pokémon between Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee.
However, if you move a Pokémon out of Let's Go, Pikachu or Let's Go, Eevee and into Pokémon Sword or Shield, you can't move it back into Let's Go again.
As for Pokémon Bank, you can move your Pokémon from your 3DS games into Pokémon Home, but not back out again. You will also need a paid subscription to do this, but more on that in a minute.
How do you trade Pokémon using Pokémon Home?
You'll need the mobile version of Pokémon Home to trade Pokémon, and there are four ways to do it. Here's how each method works.
1. Wonder Box
Pokémon deposited in the Wonder Box can be traded with anyone around the world, even when you're not actively using Pokémon Home. You'll get a random Pokémon in return for one of your offered Pokémon.
2. Global Trade System (GTS)
Unlike Wonder Box trades, with GTS you'll get to specify which kind of Pokémon you want to receive, even if they're Pokémon you haven't yet caught.

3. Room Trade
Room Trades are just what they sound like – you set up a room which can hold up to 20 Trainers, and then you'll trade Pokémon. You'll be trading blind though, so you won't know which Pokémon you're getting until it's arrived safely in your hands. It's free to trade in a room, but you'll need a Premium Plan subscription to set one up.
4. Friend Trade
Lastly, there's the good old-fashioned trading with friends. That means you can trade Pokémon with anyone you're friends with in Pokémon Home.
What else can Pokémon Home do?
Any Pokémon that you deposit in Pokémon Home will be registered to your National Pokedex (which lets you see Pokémon from multiple games, all in one place). The mobile version of Pokémon Home lets you see each Pokémon's Abilities and all the moves it's capable of learning, too.
In the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon Home, you can get Mystery Gifts for Pokémon Home, and you may also receive codes in your Mystery Gifts which you can then use in Pokémon Sword or Shield.
You'll also have a room of your own (not to be confused with a trading room). Here, you can customise your profile with stickers (which you can earn by completing Challenges in Pokémon Home), get the latest information about events, and see extra information about the games you own.
The more Pokémon you deposit in Pokémon Home, the more Pokémon Home Points you'll earn. You can exchange these on the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon Home for Battle Points (at a rate of 30 Pokémon Home Points to 1 Battle Point) and use them in Pokémon games.
The big differences between the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of Pokémon Home

What extras do you get with a paid Premium Plan subscription?
A Premium Plan subscription will allow you to move Pokémon from Pokémon Bank into Pokémon Home. You'll also get a much higher allowance for Pokémon that can be deposited in Pokémon Home (6,000 Pokémon to be precise, as opposed to 30 with the free plan). This will allow you to trade more Pokémon at once in the Wonder Box (10 Pokémon instead of 3) and GTS (3 Pokémon instead of 1) as well.
You can take part in Room Trades for free, but you won't be able to host one without a paid subscription. Minecraft pocket edition iphone 6.
